This pocket notebook covers the periods June-July 1872 and October-November 1874. The later entries list the hours worked by, and payments made to, employees of Edison & Murray. The entries at the beginning of the book probably record time worked on a job for Stearns & Mendell in 1872. The front cover is marked "Time Book for Stearns & Mendell." Approximately 30 pages of this unnumbered book have been used.
