This notebook covers the years 1871 and 1873. The later entries list the hours and piecework of employees of Edison & Murray from February through April 1873. At the beginning of the book is a list of tools and other stock for May-September 1871. The inside front cover is marked "Newark Telegraph Works Edison & Unger Proprietors." Approximately 60 pages of this unnumbered book have been used. Many pages have been torn from the book.
