This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the production and commercial development of motion picture films. Included are documents pertaining to litigation against or negotiations with competing firms, such as the Kleine Optical Co., the American Mutoscope & Biograph Co., and the Armat Motion Picture Co. Among the correspondents are William E. Gilmore, vice president and general manager of the Edison Manufacturing Co.; James H. White, manager of the Film Department; and the law firm of Dyer, Edmonds & Dyer.
