This folder contains memoranda, correspondence and other documents relating to the operation of the West Orange laboratory. Included are lists made by Edison of chemicals to be obtained; correspondence pertaining to insurance, public utilities, and dynamos for the lab; and orders directed to the laboratory storekeeper.

Approximately 40 percent of the documents have been selected. Among the documents not selected are orders for photographs of Edison to be sent to associates and admirers, and perfunctory items regarding laboratory supplies and insurance.
