This folder contains letters received from telegraphers, railroad agents, and others across the United States in response to a general inquiry by Edison regarding his search for cobalt ore. Most of the items are letters enclosing ore samples. A copy of Edison's form letter can be found in D-05-23 (Mining - Cobalt Search - General).
