This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the commercial and technical development of Edison's alkaline storage battery. Included are letters concerning the progress of Edison's battery work, the materials to be used, and the performance of cells.

Approximately 20 percent of the documents have been selected. The items not selected consist primarily of requests for information and letters of transmittal.
