This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the operation of the West Orange laboratory. Included are inquiries regarding materials and instruments, some in Edison's hand; correspondence pertaining to orders and insurance; and a letter from William S. Andrews of the General Electric Co. regarding an aluminum rectifier.

Approximately 50 percent of the documents have been selected. The items not selected are routine documents concerning supply, maintenance, and other matters in which Edison was not directly involved.
