This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the commercial and technical development of Edison's alkaline storage battery. Among the items for 1908 are reports by William G. Bee, manager of sales, on the performance of cells, letters and memoranda concerning the financial health and management of the Edison Storage Battery Co., and a list of company stockholders. Also included are letters requesting information about the batteries, samples of which have been selected.

Approximately 60 percent of the documents have been selected. The items not selected include routine letters of inquiry, letters of transmittal and acknowledgment, and documents that duplicate information in selected material.
