This folder contains routine personal requests and fan mail. Included are letters asking Edison for biographical and other personal information, educational advice, information on lightning rods and x-rays, charitable contributions, loans, and other favors. Among the items for 1908 is a marginal note by Edison regarding his boyhood readings at the Detroit public library.

A sample of less than one percent of the documents has been selected. Most of the selected items contain Edison marginalia.
