This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to patent applications and other patent matters. The selected documents for 1874 consist of a letter and receipt from Lemuel W. Serrell, Edison's patent attorney.

All of the documents have been selected except for a copy of a provisional patent by Louis N. LeGras and William L. Gilpin.
