[D7520]

This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the Western Union Telegraph Co., which controlled many of Edison's telegraph patents after 1874. The correspondents include William Orton, president of Western Union until his death in 1878, and George B. Prescott, who served as chief electrician of Western Union from 1870 until 1882. In addition to the correspondence, there are agreements, accounts (1875-1876), payrolls (1875-1876), and a sample telegraph form.

All of the documents have been selected. They appear in the following order: correspondence and agreements, accounts, payrolls, form.
