This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to telegraphy. The correspondents include Edison associates Daniel H. Craig, Edward H. Johnson, Uriah H. Painter, and Josiah C. Reiff. Also included is an agreement regarding the marketing of Edison's quadruplex telegraph in Austria, Belgium, France and Spain. Another agreement involving Edison and telegraph inventors George B. Prescott and Gerritt Smith deals with the merging of the rights to their British quadruplex patents. The following notation appears on many of the documents: "Used in law suit: Edison vs. A & P and Domestic Telegraph Co. Apr. 1878."
