Document File Series -- 1878: (D-78-32) Phonograph -- Foreign
[D7832]

This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the marketing of Edison's tinfoil phonograph in Great Britain, Continental Europe, Latin America, and Australia. The correspondents include Edison associates George E. Gouraud and Theodore Puskas; George S. Nottage, manager of the London Stereoscope & Photograph Co.; and Willis Churchill, who planned to introduce the phonograph to Australia. In addition to the correspondence, there are agreements, a patent assignment, and a financial report by Cornelius Roosevelt (cousin of Theodore Roosevelt) regarding profits in the exhibition of the phonograph in France.

All of the documents have been selected except for duplicate copies of correspondence and agreements.
