This folder contains unsolicited correspondence requesting agencies for Edison's inventions, inquiring about the purchase or cost of his inventions, or asking for other information about his inventions. Approximately half of this correspondence was sent to Edison in January, following the first successful demonstrations of his electric light system, to request agencies for the light. There is also correspondence regarding offers of land for the Edison Electric Lamp Co. factory.
