This folder contains correspondence, reports, and other documents relating to the commercial introduction of the electric light and to technical aspects of electric lighting and power, such as the design of lamps and generators and the materials to be used as filaments. Some of the documents concern competition with the Maxim electric light system. Related material about the application of electric power to mining can be found in D-81-38 (Mining -- General).

All of the documents have been selected except for duplicate copies of selected documents.
