This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the business of Edison's Indian & Colonial Electric Light Co., Ltd., which was organized in the United Kingdom in 1882 to market the Edison electric light system in Australasia, Ceylon, India, and South Africa. Included is a prospectus issued by the company, dated June 12, 1882.

Approximately 90 percent of the documents have been selected. The following categories of documents have not been selected: bills; duplicate copies of selected documents; copies of cable messages in Letterbook, LM-001 (Letterbook Series).
