This folder contains correspondence, bills, receipts, and other documents relating to Edison's membership and activities in social clubs and professional societies. Also included are requests by clubs and societies for lectures by Edison and for exhibits of Edison's inventions. Many of the documents deal with the formation of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, of which Edison was a founding member.
