The folder contains correspondence relating to the attempt to construct an extension to the Appleton plant and to expand the original hydro-powered system and central station district installed in 1882. Among the correspondents are George H. Bliss, general superintendent of the Western Edison Light Co., and Aug. Ledyard Smith, president of the Appleton Edison Electric Light Co.
