This folder contains accounts relating to Edison's personal finances. The one selected item for 1885 is a 7-page memorandum which was probably written around October 1, 1885. It contains a summary of the assets and liabilities of the Edison Machine Works, including Edison's personal investments in the company, as of January 1, 1885, and October 1, 1885. Also included is an analysis of profits and losses between those periods.

Approximately 40 percent of the folder has been selected. Trial balances and draft account sheets that were used in entering information into journals and ledgers (see Accounts Series) have not been selected.
