This folder contains correspondence, agreements, and other documents relating to the establishment of Edison electric light companies in Europe. Many of the documents deal with three Edison companies: the Compagnie Continentale Edison, the Deutsche Edison Gesellschaft, and the Société d'Appareillage Electrique. Other documents concern the visit of Edison's personal representative, Francis R. Upton, to Europe.
