This folder contains correspondence relating to the purchase and sale of land and buildings, along with other documents pertaining to Edison's real estate holdings. Included are numerous letters about Edison's mortgage on the Chandler property in Newark, N. J., and the foreclosure suit brought against that property. There are also letters concerning the taxes due on Edison's Silver Lake property and correspondence regarding old deeds to land at Menlo Park. Many of the letters are by Edison's attorney, Sherburne B. Eaton.
