Document File Series -- 1894: (D-94-15) Edison, T.A. -- Unsolicited Correspondence -- Deafness [not selected]
[D9415]

This folder contains requests for information about the technical and commercial development of a hearing aid by Edison. These inquiries were stimulated by Edison's work on the improved phonograph, which drew attention to his own deafness. Such letters usually received a standard reply stating that Edison had discontinued his hearing aid experiments and that he expected to return to them in the future.
