This folder contains correspondence and other documents concerning local and national politics. Included are items pertaining to Edison's contributions to the Progressive National Committee and to the unsuccessful gubernatorial campaign of Republican Everett Colby.

Less than 10 percent of the documents, including all letters with substantive marginalia by Edison, have been selected. The unselected material consists primarily of printed matter and unsolicited correspondence with no substantive reply from Edison.
