Edison General File Series -- 1917: (E-17-19) Cigarettes [not selected]
[E1719]

This folder contains correspondence from teachers, students, and other members of the general public relating to Edison's views on cigarette smoking and the use of tobacco in general. Some received responses from Edison's assistant, William H. Meadowcroft, referring the inquirer to a 1914 booklet published by Henry Ford, The Case Against the Little White Slaver. None of the letters bear notations by Edison.
