Family Records Series -- Correspondence: John V. Miller (1886)
[FN001]

[Two letters from 1886 were added to this folder in December 2011.]

This folder contains letters from John Vincent Miller (1873-1940) to his older sister, Mina Miller Edison. Among the siblings of Mina Edison, John was the one most closely involved in the business activities of Thomas Edison. He entered the inventor's employ in 1899 and served as an officer and director in several of his companies. For seventeen years he was manager of the Chemical Works Division of Thomas A. Edison, Inc. He subsequently became Edison's personal secretary and secretary of his estate.

Additional letters by John V. Miller can be found in the Charles Edison Fund Collection and in the David E. E. Sloane Collection.
