This letterbook covers the period March-May 1916. Most of the correspondence is by Edison and William H. Meadowcroft. Included is correspondence pertaining to Edisonâ€™s benzol absorbing plants, toluol shipments, and other chemical manufacturing interests. Additional items concern Edisonâ€™s vacation in Florida and the disposition of historic equipment. The correspondents include U.S. Secretary of the Navy Josephus Daniels, investment banker Clarence Dillon, and representatives of Mitusi & Co.
