Notebook Series -- Menlo Park Notebooks: Notebook #18 N-79-01-12 (1879)
[N018]

This undated notebook was probably begun prior to April 8, 1879. The entries are by Edison and Francis Upton. Included is a series of notes by Edison on alloys for special composition bars. These appear to be the bars that were used in the thermoelectricity experiments recorded in Menlo Park Notebook #21. Other material includes notes by Edison on platinum, coal heat, and chalk buttons; a series of sketches and notes by Edison that appear to be related to the telephone; and drawings by Upton of generators. The book contains 282 numbered pages.

Blank pages: 94-121, 124-153, 172-257.
