This notebook covers the period August 1882-March 1883. The entries are by Hermann Claudius and consist of calculations relating to conductors for central stations in the 28th District of New York; Milan, Italy; Roselle, New Jersey; St. Iago di Chile (Santiago, Chile); and Shamokin, Pennsylvania. Several loose pages found in the book contain additional notes and calculations regarding the New York, Roselle, and Shamokin stations. The label on the front cover is marked "Measurements of networks for electric illuminating by Hermann Claudius." There is an index on the inside front cover. The book contains 280 numbered pages.
