This notebook contains dated entries from May, October, and December 1902, and November 1903. All entries are by Edison. The book contains notes and drawings regarding chemicals that produce "electric[ity] by friction"; these notes may be related to motograph experiments. Also included are entries pertaining to storage batteries and phonograph recording apparatus, along with several rough phonograph drawings. A marginal notation indicates that some of this material was recopied into an unidentified "big book." The pages are unnumbered. Approximately 70 pages have been used.
