This notebook was used by Edison and laboratory chemist Otto Groethe in May 1907. It contains instructions by Edison to Groethe regarding various chemical experiments pertaining to storage batteries. Alongside the entries by Edison are Groethe's notations concerning the test results. Inserted into the book is one page of notes by Groethe and Walter E. Holland. The front cover is labeled "Chemical Laboratory Book." The pages are unnumbered. Approximately 20 pages have been used.
