This notebook covers the period December 1887-March 1888. It was used primarily by Arthur E. Kennelly, but also by Robert T. Lozier and other unidentified experimenters, as a rough record book in the Galvanometer Room. The book contains notes, drawings, tables, and calculations regarding magnetic induction and electromagnets. There are also tests of meters, dynamos, and batteries for phonograph motors. Near the beginning of the book is a 5-page list of the equipment that was used to outfit the Galvanometer Room. The front cover is labeled "Rough Record Galvanometer Room No. I." The pages are unnumbered. Approximately 160 pages have been used.
Only the entries prior to January 19, 1888 have been selected. Transcriptions of subsequent entries can be found in N-88-01-19. Courtesy of Thomas Edison National Historical Park.
