This notebook covers the period September 1892-March 1893. There is also one entry near the end of the book dated March 1892 [1893?]. The book was used by Joseph W. Harris primarily for notes regarding the electrolytic separation of iron ore and the bricking of ore concentrate. Also included are notes relating to routine chemical analyses, including assays of the stearic acid used in phonograph cylinders. The front cover is labeled "Experimental Notes & etc. J.W.H." The book contains 191 numbered pages and has been used in both directions.
