This undated notebook was used by Absalom M. Kennedy and another experimenter in March 1917 for notes on work for the U.S. Navy performed under the direction of Edison during World War I. At the beginning of the book are entries by an unidentified experimenter probably relating to submarine illumination. The notes and drawings by Kennedy pertain to three experimental transmitters and three experimental receivers. The front cover is labeled "Description of Transmitters and Receivers (Kennedy)." The pages are unnumbered; 17 pages have been used. Only the entries by Kennedy have been selected. Courtesy of Thomas Edison National Historical Park.
