[The following note describes a series of notebooks that were not selected. For that reason, a "no Documents found" message will appear if the "List Documents" button at the bottom of the note is used. To see the records in the selected notebooks, use the "Which Series Notes?" button to enter the Series Notes.]
These two notebooks were used by Richard G. Berger in 1916-1917. They contain notes on the preparation, recovery, and analysis of various chemical compounds such as phenol-nickel flake, phenol residue, "para" (paraphenylenediamine), and para-amidophenol. There are also experiments on hydrogen detection for the U.S. Navy, shellacs, disc record molds, extinguishing fires, and spontaneous combustion.
