Notebook Series -- Notebooks by Other Experimenters -- Battery Experiments -- Experimenters' Books -- E. E. Dougherty Book: N-19-08-25 (1919-1920)
[NB254A]

This notebook was used by Elmer E. Dougherty during August 1919-January 1920. The entries pertain to the analysis and preparation of various chemical compounds for storage batteries. Some of the experiments relate to attempts to recover usable chemicals from the battery manufacturing process. Other entries pertain to checks of samples of nickle flake and electrolyte from the manufacturing process. Dougherty's numerous references to Edison, as well as several notes by Edison inserted into the book, indicate a close collaboration between the two men on this work. The pages are unnumbered, and the book has been used in both directions. Approximately 125 pages have been used.
