This notebook contains only a few dated entries, covering the period April 1871-August 1875. The book consists primarily of undated drawings, ranging from rough sketches to carefully executed drawings accompanied by specifications of dimensions and materials. The drawings relate primarily to telegraphy, including domestic and fire alarm systems and automatic, printing, and autographic telegraphs. Some of the sketches have been drawn directly onto the pages; others have been glued in. The cover is labeled "Sundries Vol. 2." The book contains approximately 200 unnumbered pages. Several leaves have been torn out. Courtesy of Thomas Edison National Historical Park.
