This folder contains dated notes and drawings from 1901, as well as undated material possibly from the same year. Included are items by Edison regarding surveying devices, phonographs, and storage batteries, many of which contain dates, notations, or contributions by John F. Ott. There are also pages of calculations by an unidentified experimenter.

Approximately 40 percent of the documents have been selected. The material by experimenters other than Edison has not been selected, with the exception of notes by Ott that relate closely to Edison's work.
