[QCB02]

The answer of George B. Prescott, May 13, 1876, to the original bill of complaint appears in Volume 70—the first of three volumes of litigation records in Atlantic and Pacific Telegraph Company v. George B. Prescott, Western Union Telegraph Company, Lemuel W. Serrell and Thomas A. Edison. The so-called Quadruplex Case involved rights and title to seven Edison patent applications pertaining to duplex and quadruplex telegraphy.
