This scrapbook covers the period September-November 1884. It contains correspondence from Alfred O. Tate to Charles Batchelor relating to the canvassing of prospective towns in Michigan and Canada for the installation of central stations. Included are Battle Creek, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec City. The letters also discuss the local agent appointed by Tate for each locality as well as local economic conditions. The front cover is labeled "Tate." The spine is stamped "Invoice."
