Scrapbook Series: Cat. 44,448 -- Interviews (1913-1914)
[SB506]

This scrapbook contains clippings from August 1913-February 1914. Included are articles relating to Edison's December 1913 meeting with Helen Keller; his sixty-seventh birthday; and his opinions about social, political, and economic issues, as reported by interviewers. Also included is a discussion, by a symposium of educators including John Dewey, of Edison's plan to use motion pictures in the classroom. Lists of other newspapers that carried the stories have been added in ink to some of the clippings. The title page is inscribed "Interviews." The scrapbook contains 71 numbered pages; pages 1, 21-27, and 43-54 are blank. Some of the page numbers are obscured by the clippings.
