Scrapbook Series: Cat. 44,498 -- Scientific American (1911-1912)
[SB5OS01]

This scrapbook contains articles published in Scientific American during the period January 1911-February 1912. Included are clippings regarding Edison's new storage battery and reminiscences about Edison and Menlo Park by Edward G. Acheson and T. Commerford Martin. Also included is an interview, published one month after Edison's return from Europe, in which the inventor predicted that the commercial rivalry between Germany and Great Britain would not result in war. The book contains 200 numbered pages; only the odd-numbered pages up to page 95 have been used.

Five clippings (approximately one third of the book) have been selected. The clippings not selected include technical articles not directly related to Edison, along with brief notices about patents and other matters that duplicate the information in the Unbound Clippings Series and elsewhere.
