This scrapbook covers the period April-July 1878; there is also one clipping for June, 1877. Most of the clippings relate to the phonograph, but the book also contains material about the telephone, microphone, and electric pen. There are also several articles about Edison and Menlo Park and, on page 110, copies in Edison's hand of two telegrams. The book contains 182 numbered pages.
