This letter of recommendation, dated 1894, was written by George F. Ballou, former superintendent of the Edison Phonograph Works, and was annotated by Edison. The subject of the document is Charles T. Gwynne, a former Edison employee who later became assistant secretary to the New York Chamber of Commerce.
