This 1932 letter was written to Edison biographer William A. Simonds by T. A. Richardson, grandson of Joel F. Richardson, who was the superintendent of the Cincinnati railroad office where Edison worked in 1865. The author describes Edison’s experimental apparatus and accomplishments, according to the recollections of his father, T.M. Richardson, and his grandfather.
