[X001E19]

This 1932 letter from J. P. Young to William A. Simonds encloses an anecdote related to the author by Alec Knapp, who had been a telegraph operator with Edison in Memphis in 1866. Edison’s interest in popular theater is mentioned, as is his inclination to work the night shift.
