These three letters cover the years 1910 and 1929. The first letter, dated October 13, 1910, is from Madeleine Edison to Alice Sloane Anderson (1888-1961). It relates to Madeleine's secret engagement to Alice's brother, John Eyre Sloane (1886-1970). An undated letter by Alice Eyre Sloane (ca. 1855-1952) comments on daughter-in-law Madeleine's gallbladder operation in May 1929. A September 1929 letter by Alice Anderson remarks on Thomas Edison's recent illness.
