These two letters from 1930 and 1931 are by illustrator and artist Lucius Wolcott Hitchcock (1868-1942), a brother-in-law of Grace Miller Hitchcock. The documents are signed "Lu." Included is an 18-page letter containing remarks about Grace's sixtieth birthday party, which was attended by Edison, Mina Miller Edison, and industrialist Henry Ford.
The letters are from Book #5 on the Charles Edison Fund microfilm. A few additional unselected letters by Lucius W. Hitchcock can be found in this book. Click here for a list of all the correspondence books on the CEF microfilm. Courtesy of the Charles Edison Fund.
