This agreement between the Edison Electric Light Co. and Enrique A. Mexia and Richard Weightman is from August 1882. The agreement authorized Mexia, a politician and entrepreneur acting as a representative of the Mexican government, and Weightman, a resident of New Orleans, to establish a company called the Edison Electric Light Co. of Mexico.
