These documents relate to Godfrey J. Taylor (1901-1989), who worked for Edison as an office helper and music scout. Included is a letter by Taylor, possibly from 1920, suggesting that Edison hire a young person to act as a music scout, along with a response by Edison appointing Taylor to the position and describing his duties. Other items deal with musical selections and singers. Two notes from 1921 by William H. Meadowcroft, Edison's personal assistant, concern Taylor's salary. Courtesy of Godfrey J. Taylor.
