These letters by Edison and William H. Meadowcroft are from the Halbert Louis Hoard Papers and the John Mandt Nelson Papers. Two 1924 letters to Hoard, a member of the prominent Wisconsin publishing family, relate to hurricane-resistant engineering. A 1930 letter to Nelson, a Republican congressman from Wisconsin, pertains to pensions for Civil War telegraphers.
